Pick Me Up- Soft Material Exploration

In the ever-evolving world of design and materials, the journey of exploration becomes an integral part of our creative process. During the 1st semester of my college, I had the opportunity to explore soft materials. I'm someone who enjoys hands-on work and was eager to experiment with various materials during the course. I used stitches, folds, and other techniques to transform soft materials into something exciting. Whether it was playing with fabrics or trying out different ways to shape things, I loved every step of the process.
What's more, I aimed to create something that could serve as a learning tool for toddlers, promoting their motor skills, and at the same time, provide comfort and cuddles.
This game is all about helping kids get better at using their hands and eyes together, learning new skills, and recognizing different things in a super fun way. It's like a fishing adventure, but with soft toys that have magnets inside.
Playing is easy and full of thrills. First, the child gets a clue about which toy to catch. They grab the fishing rod and go on a quest to find the right match. The tricky part is using their hand-eye coordination and skills to aim the magnet on the fishing rod at the magnet on the soft toy.
Not only does this game make the child's hands and eyes work together better, but it also helps them learn to identify different things in a fun way. Whether they're 'fishing' for animals, humans, trees, or even stuff from outer space, the game is all about exploring and getting better at some cool skills.
